PS5 Inspired vs Sonic the Hedgehog Gaming Locker: Which to Choose?

Two lockers, one storage blueprint

The PS5 Inspired Blue and White Gaming Locker and the Official Sonic the Hedgehog Gaming Locker share the same core design: each holds up to 10 PS4/PS5 or Xbox games and movies, hangs up to 4 controllers, secures a headset on top, and includes a bottom drawer for cables, remotes and other equipment. Both have front doors that open and close, and both are official Numskull products designed and engineered by Numskull Designs.

The practical difference comes down to branding and price. The PS5 Inspired locker carries PS5-inspired blue and white styling, while the Sonic locker features Sonic the Hedgehog artwork with Dr Eggman and Sonic facing off. At catalog prices, the PS5 Inspired locker is USD 23.12 (compared to USD 31.24) and the Sonic locker is USD 21.56 (compared to USD 31.24).

What each locker stores

• PS5 Inspired Blue and White Gaming Locker: Holds up to 10 PS5/PS4 or Xbox games and movies. This capacity matches the Sonic locker, so neither has an edge for disc storage.

• Official Sonic the Hedgehog Gaming Locker: Holds up to 10 PS4/PS5 or Xbox games and movies. Same 10-game capacity as the PS5 Inspired locker, so your collection fits either way.

• PS5 Inspired Blue and White Gaming Locker: Hang up to 4 controllers. Useful if you keep multiple controllers for local multiplayer or backups.
• Official Sonic the Hedgehog Gaming Locker: Hang up to 4 controllers. Identical controller storage, so choose based on look and price, not capacity.

Design and branding: PS5 sleek vs Sonic character

The PS5 Inspired locker uses a blue and white color scheme with PS5-inspired branding on the front doors. It suits a gaming room that leans toward a clean, modern console aesthetic. The Sonic locker, by contrast, is decorated with Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr Eggman artwork, making it a better fit for a fan-focused space or a room with other SEGA collectibles.

Neither locker is confirmed to include LED lighting or other electronic features in the supplied information. If you want illuminated storage, check the product page carefully before buying.

Price and value: which costs less?

At catalog prices, the Sonic locker is slightly cheaper: USD 21.56 versus USD 23.12 for the PS5 Inspired locker. Both show the same comparison price of USD 31.24, so the discount is similar in absolute terms. The difference is small enough that branding and room fit should drive your decision more than the price gap.

• PS5 Inspired Blue and White Gaming Locker: Catalog price USD 23.12 (comparison price USD 31.24). Holds 10 games, 4 controllers, headset and accessories.
• Official Sonic the Hedgehog Gaming Locker: Catalog price USD 21.56 (comparison price USD 31.24). Same storage capacities; Sonic-themed design.

Which locker fits your gaming room?

• Choose the PS5 Inspired locker if…: You want a blue and white locker that matches a PS5 console or a minimalist setup, and you don't mind paying a little more.
• Choose the Sonic locker if…: You prefer Sonic the Hedgehog artwork, want the lowest catalog price, or are building a SEGA-themed collection.
• Consider either if…: You need to store up to 10 games, 4 controllers, a headset and cables in one unit. Both offer the same core capacity.

What the catalog doesn't tell you

The supplied information does not include dimensions, weight, materials, assembly instructions or care instructions for either locker. It also doesn't confirm whether the bottom drawer is removable or how the front doors latch. If any of these details matter for your space, check the full product listing or contact the retailer before ordering.

Both lockers are official Numskull products, but the Sonic locker is also an official SEGA product. That may appeal to collectors who value official branding.

The bottom line

If you want a clean, console-matching look and don't mind spending about USD 1.56 more at catalog price, the PS5 Inspired Blue and White Gaming Locker is a solid choice. If you prefer Sonic the Hedgehog styling or want the lower price, the Official Sonic the Hedgehog Gaming Locker delivers the same storage capacity. Either way, you get a dedicated video game storage locker that organizes games, controllers, a headset and accessories in one place.
